We are finishing the book of Romans today with chapter 16. Below are a couple quick thoughts:
- Paul ends the letter to the Romans by acknowledging all the people who have helped him and cared for other people as well.
- Paul also warns the church to watch out for people who try to cause division. Let’s face it, we can all become frustrated at times but we should be careful not to cause division in our church.
- Paul uses a phrase; ‘be wise about what is good and innocent about what is evil.’ What a great line. We should all seek more wisdom about how to live a life that pleases God and be innocent of evil.
Do you recognize people who help you? Does it ever occur to you to applaud those who treat others with love? Could Paul’s phrase about being ‘wise about what’s good and innocent about evil’ be said of you? If not then what needs to change in your life?
