Today’s reading in the Tattoo Church Reading Plan is James 4. Here are some things to think about:

1. Have you ever asked for something from God and knew it was just about you and didn’t get it? James tells us that we do not get what we ask for from God because we ask with the wrong motives.
2. In verse 8 we read that if we draw near to God he will draw near to us. How cool is it that God doesn’t want to observe from afar but desires to be close to us.

Ever felt that there was a great distance or barrier between you and God? The Bible time and time again tells us that if we will draw near to God he will draw near to us. God wants a relationship and to have a relationship, two people must spend time together. That’s why this reading plan is such a big deal. This is one way for us to try to draw near to God.
