Today's reading is Mark 4. Here are a few notes, and something to think about:
1. The word "parable" is used throughout this chapter. A parable is a story with a spiritual truth embedded in it.
2. The phrase "kingdom of God" is also used. The kingdom of God consists of people who have made God their King. Those people have pledged their allegiance to God, choose to live His way of life, and seek to fulfill His Kingdom.
One of the things we see clearly in this chapter is that different people respond differently to Jesus. Some people don't have "ears to hear" what He's saying. Some respond and follow, but then fall away. Some choose Jesus, but hide what He's doing in their lives. Others trust and grow and allow God to make an impact through them. So question: How are you responding? And if it's not in the best possible way, how could you change that? If you have questions please feel free to email me and strike up a conversation.
